SBM sketch and The Thrifty Thistle....

Things are a little slow on the scrapbooking front at the moment, however I do have a layout to share which appeared in a recent issue of The Scrapbook Magazine.

It was the sketch challenge...and you know how I love a good sketch!

So, using the supplies in my stash and a super cute photo of my eldest daughter now 18, I created this page :)

I find that I'm generally drawn to blue paper collections and this was a favourite of mine from October Afternoon.

Even if my scrapbooking is on the back burner , I'm still putting my scrapbook supplies to very good use by making lots of bits and bobs for my rented craft shelf at "The Thrifty Thistle" shop in Felixstowe.
It's a great little shop championing Suffolk crafters of all kinds, as well as being a showroom for handpainted renovated furniture.
Well worth a visit if you're passing :)

Autumn....

That was the theme given to me for a recent article in The Scrapbook Magazine.
I went along the lines of autumnal colours and natural elements and picked some sprigs of leaves from a Rowan tree in my garden to use as a mask.
Now, since I've never used a mask and misting on a layout it was a risk!
Even though the page went all wrinkly I don't think it turned out too bad :)

The rather gorgeous crochet flower was made by my friend Lynda , AND I've got loads of them!

Look out for more on future layouts, along with some I bought from THIS amazing Etsy shop.
